Relive the Ask Alice breathwork session

Take a moment to reconnect with yourself through this exclusive Ask Alice Breathwork Session, recorded by Carlien Cavens.

Whether you want to revisit the experience or discover new insights with each session, this recording allows you to practise wherever and whenever it feels right.

The session lasts approximately 70 minutes and combines an active breathing practice with a calming guided visualization.

Before you begin

To get the most out of this journey:

  • Set aside around 70 minutes without interruptions.
  • Lie down comfortably on a bed, yoga mat or blanket.
  • Make sure you stay warm, as your body temperature may drop during the session.
  • Put your phone on airplane mode.
  • Close your eyes or use an eye mask if you prefer.

During the practice, you may experience tingling sensations, lightheadedness, emotions or mental imagery. These are common responses to conscious breathwork. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, simply slow your breathing or return to a gentle, natural breath. You remain in control throughout the entire experience.

Important

This intensive breathing practice is not suitable if you:

  • are pregnant;
  • have recently undergone surgery;
  • have a heart condition or high blood pressure;
  • have epilepsy;
  • have severe asthma;
  • have a retinal condition or an aneurysm;
  • have a psychiatric condition such as psychosis or bipolar disorder.

If you are unsure whether this practice is appropriate for you, breathe gently and skip the breath holds.

Never practise this recording while driving or in or near water.

By listening to this recording, you accept full responsibility for your own physical and emotional wellbeing during and after the practice.

Now, let go, take a deep breath, and allow yourself to be carried by the journey.
